what i find helpful is looking up the definitions of words online (because i frequently dont know them) then i use them in a couple sentence and write them down in a word journal. after a couple weeks of this i'll review the journal and see all the words i had trouble with before, maybe i forgot one or two and its a reminder.

Interesting. I've tested myself I can read with 900 up to 1300 wpm I guess. Without missing a line or losing the comprehension or context. Never did special exercises. I've been always an afectionado of books and reading and tried to read as fast I can, since young age. Doesn't matter whether it's german or english. I'm more fluent in german but wpm is still the same. I just wonder is it special when you love reading or not?
